Follow these guidelines when caring for your laminate floor.
- Always wipe up spills promptly, and dry the spill area to prevent residues from sticky substances spilled.
- To remove everyday dirt, sweep, dust or vacuum. When vacuuming be sure to use a vacuum with a non-beater bar attachment
- For dust or spot removal, use a slightly damp sponge mop and plain warm water. After you mop, lightly buff the flooring surface dry if your area has hard water as that may leave spots.
- Never apply acetone or other solvents directly on the flooring.
- Never slide furniture or appliances across your floor.
- Place mats at all outside entry doorways, (both inside and outside), to trap sand or grit before it reaches the flooring surface.
- Use felt pads on furniture legs and rubber pads on heavier appliances that will rest on the flooring surface.
- Install load-bearing devices on heavier objects. Furniture that has metal domes or small narrow load surfaces should have wider, smooth, protective load-bearing devices installed.
