Kronotex and Faus hereby announce that they have entered into a settlement of pending litigation.
Press Release – Kronotex and Faus hereby announce that they have entered into a settlement of pending litigation and reexamination proceedings in United States involving various patents of the parties directed to laminated flooring technologies. As part of the settlement, Kronotex has received a license to various patents of Faus directed to features of laminated flooring products, including Faus’s Embossed-in-Registration® and Joint Guard® technologies. The parties have agreed not to disclose the specific terms of the agreement.
Press Release – Beijing Higher People’s Court Rules in Favor of Faus in Its Dispute With Dewei
On December 26, 2011 Beijing Higher People´s Court issued the Appeal Decision stating the Dewei´s patent 03112761.4 lacks inventive step. This decision includes the Patent Reexamination Board decision 14220 and the 1st Instance (2010) 2023 at the Beijing No.1 Intermediate Court have been revoked.
Dewei tried to protect bevel technology which was developed by Faus and protected in PR China and around the world. “It has taken a long time but FAUS finally won the fight against Dewei at last” said Gonzalo Frey, Faus CEO.
Currently Faus has protection in P.R. China of its technology which covers Embossed-In-Register and Bevel technologies, with this decision it is confirmed the Faus position.
